Assembly of Control and Power Distribution Systems

Electris specializes in professional prefabrication of control and power distribution systems.

We offer the assembly of solutions such as switchgears dedicated to industry, the energy sector, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).

We provide comprehensive assembly of power distribution units (PDU Assembly),  based on client documentation. Our process covers component production, full system integration, and rigorous testing – including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Thanks to our in-house production infrastructure, we can rapidly implement project modifications (redesign) and maintain high independence from external suppliers of metal components.

Our solutions are built on over 20 years of experience and the trust of more than 200 clients worldwide. Our flexible production facilities allow us to execute:

  • Individual engineering projects,
  • Prototype production,
  • Medium and high-volume production series.

Flexible cooperation models

At Electris, we treat every project with an individual approach. We understand that client requirements vary depending on the sector, production scale, and technical specifications. Therefore, our control and power distribution system offering is fully customizable, and we execute the assembly process through two proven collaboration models:

  • Assembly according to client documentation (Build-to-Print) - we execute projects strictly in line with the provided technical specifications, guaranteeing full compliance with all guidelines.
  • Technical Consulting and Optimization (Design for Manufacturing – DfM) - we support our clients throughout the redesign process. We optimize projects for production efficiency by introducing necessary modifications to internal layouts and mechanical components.

Thanks to this approach, even the most complex systems are delivered according to expectations, while maintaining the highest quality and market standards.

Smart Assembly: a modern prefabrication standard

Electris operates a modern, dedicated production facility specifically designed for the efficient prefabrication of switchgears and control cabinets. Our specialized infrastructure—featuring dedicated assembly stations, integrated transport systems, and enclosed testing zones—creates an optimal environment for executing even the most demanding projects.

We approach the assembly process with a strategic, flexible, and innovation-driven mindset. Our "smart assembly" methodology focuses on process improvements through advanced tools and proprietary poka-yoke (error-proofing) devices. These solutions physically eliminate the risk of errors at every stage of work. Combined with total in-house process control, this translates into reduced lead times and full delivery predictability for our partners.

From prototypes to scalable serial production

Electris supports clients at every stage of product development – from initial prototypes and pilot series to stable mass production. We offer assembly services ranging from compact devices to multi-section power distribution systems. Our infrastructure enables rapid scaling; thanks to a flexible production organization and our in-house technological resources, we can adapt the prefabrication process to the project's scale and the client's individual requirements. We offer:

  • Prototype Production - custom-built control cabinets and switchgears that allow for the verification of design solutions and the testing of electrical and mechanical component integration.
  • Pilot and Short Production Series - this stage enables the verification of production process repeatability, assembly optimization, and the preparation of the project for larger-scale implementation.
  • Mass Production - A production process optimized for high repeatability, consistent quality stability, and on-time delivery.

At Electris, every project is supported by a dedicated team with experience in the assembly of control cabinets.

Dedicated Engineering Team

We provide comprehensive support at every stage of the project: from documentation verification and design optimization to full-scale implementation. This integrated approach allows us to minimize risks and ensure the repeatable quality of every assembled unit.

Documentation Analysis and Design Review

Every project begins with a thorough technical verification aimed at ensuring full compliance with requirements and a seamless production flow. Our verification covers:
•    Analysis of electrical schematics and assembly documentation.
•    Functional placement of components within the cabinet.
•    Identification of potential mechanical and installation conflicts.

Production Optimisation and Redesign

Leveraging our in-house machinery park and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) approach, we adapt your designs to the latest manufacturing technologies. This enables immediate structural modifications, reduced lead times, and significant cost optimization. We provide:
•    Mechanical modifications and redesign of busbars.
•    Design simplification to reduce assembly operations and lower production costs.
•    Flexible component layout adjustment and optimization of wiring routes.

Support in Component Selection and Sourcing

We cooperate with world-renowned suppliers, allowing us to select components perfectly matched to your project requirements. We provide:
•    Expert consulting in the selection of electrical apparatus and cabling.
•    Recommendations for alternative components (substitutes) in case of market shortages, ensuring production continuity and strict adherence to deadlines.

Multi-stage quality and safety tests

Highest quality and manufacturing precision are our top priorities. Our Quality Control (QC) system is fully integrated into the production process, allowing us to monitor the entire cycle – from raw material reception to the final shipment of the finished product. Our laboratories are equipped with advanced instrumentation to ensure complete control over quality and precision. We offer for exemple: CMM Component Inspection (Coordinate Measuring Machine: 1500 × 1000 × 800 mm), detailed analysis of geometry, form, and surface roughness. coating thickness and adhesion testing for both galvanic and epoxy coatings.

Rigorous Testing for Every Unit
Every switchgear and control cabinet manufactured at Electris undergoes stringent quality control. Our testing procedures, an integral part of the process, verify assembly accuracy, electrical safety, and full compliance with technical documentation.

Our standard inspection protocol includes:

  • Point-to-Point Testing -  verification of every circuit’s continuity, proper wiring routing, and compliance of labeling with electrical schematics.
  • Grounding Continuity Measurements - checking the resistance of protective connections to guarantee that all elements are correctly bonded to the earthing system.
  • High-Potential (Hi-Pot) Insulation Testing - testing insulation resistance to detect potential damage, dielectric breakdowns, and verify required clearance distances.

FAT Reports and PPAP Compliance
The process concludes with the preparation of a detailed Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Report. This document records all test results and serves as formal confirmation that the device meets all technical project requirements.

Depending on specific client needs, we also implement the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), confirming our process capability for high-repeatability serial production that meets the most demanding quality standards.

The assembly process flow – from design analysis to the finished system

We seamlessly combine engineering support with full control over component manufacturing to mitigate project risks and optimize delivery lead times.

Documentation analysis and engineering support (DfM)

Every project begins with a thorough technical documentation review, including schematics, Bill of Materials (BOM), and assembly guidelines. Our engineers suggest optimizations for mechanical parts and component selection, helping to reduce manufacturing costs and enhance the efficiency of the final device.
