Copper parts machining process

Copper processing at Electris
Electris specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality copper components, tailored to the custom requirements of clients across industries such as power engineering, e-mobility, data centers, railways, renewable energy, and heavy industry. We operate a modern machinery fleet that enables comprehensive copper processing – including sheets, flat bars, profiles, rods, and tubes.
Leveraging our extensive technological infrastructure and years of industry experience, we fulfill both standard and highly specialized orders, delivering precisely engineered copper components.

A wide range of specialised copper components
We manufacture a wide range of copper components utilized in various power installations, power distribution systems, industrial equipment, e-mobility, and many other sectors. Our components are primarily made from Cu-ETP or Cu-OF copper grades and are produced in strict accordance with the customer's technical documentation, industry standards, and with high-precision craftsmanship.
Our product range includes: copper busbars and main busbars, current strips, power connectors and joints, pins, sleeves, studs, components for battery systems and inverters, as well as parts for switchgears, transformers, and control cabinets, including precision-bent and twisted elements. We also offer supplementary processes, such as copper powder coating, electroplating (tin, nickel, and silver plating), and the packaging of finished copper components into dedicated kits.

For component manufacturing, we primarily utilize Cu-ETP electrolytic copper and Cu-OF oxygen-free copper. Both grades feature exceptionally high electrical conductivity and stable mechanical properties, making them the optimal choice for applications in busbars, connectors, joints, and power system elements.
Cu-ETP, containing a minimal amount of oxygen, is ideal for most industrial applications. Meanwhile, Cu-OF—thanks to its nearly zero oxygen content—is used wherever exceptional material purity is required, such as in vacuum and high-voltage applications, or in brazed and welded joints.
Upon special request, we can also manufacture components based on composite materials, including:
- Cupal (a bimetal combining copper and aluminum),
- Cuponal / CCA (Copper-Clad Aluminum),
- Flex connections (flexible copper busbars).
All raw materials used in our production originate from verified suppliers, and their parameters are verified at every stage of quality control. This allows us to guarantee material compliance with technical requirements and industry standards—both for individual components and complete assembly kits.
Forms of copper used in the manufacture of components
At Electris, we utilize a diverse range of copper semi-finished products, tailored to specific processing technologies and final applications. Equipped with a modern machinery fleet, we are capable of machining and forming each of these materials with high precision and repeatability. We process:
- Copper sheets,
- Copper flat bars,
- Custom-section copper profiles – such as C, T, U, and L-shapes,
- Copper rods – for manufacturing components such as sleeves, studs, pins, and more,
- Copper tubes – in various diameters and wall thicknesses.

Custom-made copper components – from prototypes to production runs
As part of our copper processing portfolio, we manufacture a wide range of components tailored to the needs of the power engineering, electrical engineering, and e-mobility industries. Our offering includes, among others:
- Copper busbars, main busbars, and distribution bars – various types of profiled bars for applications in LV (Low Voltage) and MV (Medium Voltage) switchgears, control cabinets, transformers, and battery systems.
- Connectors, sleeves, studs, and pins – precisely engineered turned or milled components.
- Copper components for battery systems, converters, inverters, UPS units, and power conversion – insulated busbars, plated busbars, and laminates.
- Components for switchgears, transformers, and automation cabinets – sets of ready-to-assemble conductors featuring custom holes, threads, and markings.
