Electris will make components for the ALICE project - one of the most important experiments at CERN

Our company recently hosted representatives from the ALICE Collaboration (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) project - one of the most significant experiments conducted at CERN - the European Organization for Nuclear Research

CERN, primarily known for operating the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), conducts pioneering research into the fundamental laws of physics and the structure of the universe. The LHC, the world’s largest particle accelerator, plays a key role in elementary particle research.

Our guests, including Professor Ian Bearden from the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, 👨‍🔬 engineers involved in the ALICE-FoCal project: Maciej Czarnynoga, Tony Van Den Brink, and students from the Politechnika Warszawska: Angelika Szor and Mikołaj Kucharski, had the opportunity to observe our production processes and the importance we place on product quality. The meeting was attended by Dawid Knapik and Mateusz Knapik from the Electris Board.

As part of our collaboration, Electris - Power Components will prepare copper components for use in one of the experiment’s key devices, the 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗙𝗼𝗖𝗮𝗹). This advanced tool allows for the measurement of the energy of subatomic particles, such as protons, electrons, or photons, which is crucial for analysing processes occurring during collisions at the LHC. Such precise measurements enable scientists to better understand the structure of matter under extreme conditions.
