The MP1 electric race car, designed and built by students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at PK, is a zero-emission vehicle fully adapted to the requirements of Formula Student. It is powered by two electric motors with a total output of 197 hp (144 kW), controlled by a proprietary electronic differential system. Energy is stored in an innovative battery system, similar to those used in factory electric vehicles.
As part of the collaboration, Elctris made, among other things, aluminium parts for the suspension and drivetrain, thanks to which the weight of the car is optimised. We also purchased a high-performance motor for the vehicle and a controller.
We are delighted that components manufactured by our company have become an integral part of this remarkable vehicle. Thanks to this collaboration, we are able to learn more about the construction of electric vehicles and, in turn, better understand the needs of the automotive industry and adapt our product offering to them. We want to be associated with innovation and the development of modern, eco-friendly transport and minimising our carbon footprint, so it was natural for us to get involved in this project.
The PK Mech Power team's electric car made its debut in 2024 at Formula Student Romania, where it finished second overall in the competition and in Formula Student Poland. In 2025, the team will take part in further competitions in Croatia and Poland.
